This podcast is for anyone who’s ever thought about going into the healthcare field or has a passion for caring for others in times of need.

Appalachian Care Chronicles shares the stories of folks working in every corner of West Virginia’s health sector.

Brought to you by the West Virginia Higher Education Policy Commission and hosted by Aryana Misaghi, a 2023 graduate of Marshall University's Joan C. Edwards School of Medicine, the podcast follows a variety of problem-solvers, change makers, and daily helpers—behind the scenes and on the front lines—to shine a light on what they do day-to-day and how they got there. It explores critical moments, both extraordinary and overlooked, within career trajectories that might (sometimes) appear traditional but are often full of twists and surprises.

Fueled by a sense of discovery and purpose, Appalachian Care Chronicles attempts to reveal what the world looks like from where each of our storytellers is standing. How, in the face of some of the most challenging situations possible, do they manage to hold themselves and the rest of us together? This podcast offers invaluable insight, wisdom, and advice to anyone who wishes to chart their own unique path within the field of health sciences.
